ISS Switzerland is committed to implementing of pioneering projects in its various fields of expertise. This is the case, for example, when we identify a gap in needs or when interesting synergies can be developed with public authorities or civil society organisations.

Since 2020, ISS Switzerland has been supporting several French-speaking cantons in implementing the parental consensus model (or the so-called "Cochem" method). This model aims to help separating or divorcing parents find amicable solutions that meet the needs of their children without making them a factor in the tensions between them. These solutions include, among other things, directing parents toward mediation and supporting co-parenting.

ISS Switzerland offers unaccompanied minors (UM) and former UM the opportunity to participate in a video workshop as part of the MY PERSPECTIVE project, which is run jointly with the Peer Campaigns association and UNICEF Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Over the course of a week, the UMs conduct video interviews about their future and integration with young adults who, like them, came to Switzerland as UMs.

Building on our experience in supporting reintegration in the country of origin, ISS Switzerland has developed a collaboration with the Geneva Cantonal Detention Centre and the Geneva Red Cross Return Assistance. The aim of the programme is to support people who are imprisoned in Geneva, who have to leave Switzerland at the end of their prison sentence and who express an interest in realising a reintegration project in their country of origin.
